Today: Laid-off Workers to Give Finance Minister Jim Flaherty the Boot
TORONTO, Oct. 6 /CNW/ - This morning hundreds of CAW members will gather at Finance Minister Jim Flaherty's campaign office to present thousands of pairs of old work boots, gathered from laid off workers from across the province. Each boot bears a tag signed by the laid off worker.

At about 12.50pm, a male was seen to put something into the boot of a silver or light blue hatchback car while parked at the bus stop (eastbound) on the A96 near Petty Church, Tornagrain, between Nairn and Inverness.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious, or the driver of the vehicle involved, is requested to contact Inverness Police on 01463 715555 or on the Confidential Line on 01463 720367 as soon as possible.
